Zacurate Children Pulse Oximeter
About the Product
For parents and legal guardians who are sports enthusiasts (mountain climbers, hikers, skiers, bikers, aviators, etc) and are interested in measuring their children's SpO2 and pulse rate levels during sports or aviation activities.
The children pulse oximeter feature herein is small, portable, non-invasive and easy to use. The user only needs to insert a finger into the chamber to measure his/her SpO2 and Pulse Rate. It is specifically designed for children although it is also suitable for people with small fingers. It comes with an adorable animal design to make it visually pleasing and more easily accepted by children. In addition, the children pulse oximeter also features a plethysmograph that indicates blood flow.
How does the plethysmograph work?
Each wave seen on the pulse oximeter screen corresponds to a heart beat and the wave amplitude corresponds to the amount of blood flowing through the blood vessels. If the wave amplitude is low, this means that your blood perfusion might be too low for a reliable read. You should retake your measurement and make sure that your finger is positioned right under the LED lights. Thus, the plethysmograph allows you to determine confidently if the registered reading is accurate. Suitable for children age 2 and up.
This device is for Sports and Aviation use only and is not a medical device. Comes with 1 year manufacturer warranty. Terms and conditions apply.

To ensure that optimal accuracy is reached when using the pulse oximeter, please follow these tips:
- Low blood perfusion can affect accuracy of your readings. Warm your hands and fingers before taking your measurements by rubbing your hands together. Remember your pulse oximeter is measuring your SpO2 and PR based on your blood flow. If the blood flow in your finger drops below a certain level, the pulse oximeter will not be able to function.
- It usually takes 10 seconds to get a reading. Some people though may require a longer time for the pulse oximeter to optimize its sensitivity. You may have to wait about 30 seconds for the readings to stabilize.
- Keep your hand still while taking a reading - any movement can cause the device to reset its' reading.
- Nail polish and fake fingernails may cause false readings. If possible, switch to an unpolished nail or consider another application site.
Would this pulse oximeter work on my 7 month old baby?
This particular pulse oximeter has been specifically manufactured for children 2 years and up. If you are using it on a child younger than the stated age range, it might not work because their fingers are too little to fit snugly into the finger chamber and thus the readings might not be accurate.
Is there a recommended product to use to sterilize this device?
You can simply use disinfecting wipes to clean the oximeter.
Can I get a reading if I use the oximeter on my thumb?
You can certainly use the pulse oximeter on your thumb or any fingers for that matter.
What kind of battery does the Zacurate pulse oximeter use?
The Zacurate fingertip pulse oximeter uses 2x AAA alkaline batteries.
Does this pulse oximeter provide blood pressure readings?

What is the real accuracy deviation of this Zacurate Oximeter?
The pulse oximeter has an accuracy level of +/-2%.
Are zacurate pulse oximeters latex free?
Our pulse oximeter is latex free. In fact the hypoallergenic finger chamber is made of medical grade silicone.

Please note that this pulse oximeter is developed specifically for human beings and may not be suitable for an animal or pet. Please consult with your vet who will be able to suggest a more suitable device for animals.
